Training Agreement
Purpose
The purpose of this agreement is to clearly set out the responsibilities and expectations of the trainer and athlete during a training cycle. The terms of the agreement are designed to provide you the athlete with the greatest possible benefit.
The trainer WILL
- Communicate with you weekly about your goals and progress toward them
- Use objective assessments to evaluate physical needs
- Design a program based on need
- Give you feedback and guidance at every training session
The trainer WILL NOT
- Baby you or hold your hand
You will accomplish more if you are required to take a significant level of responsibility for your own training - Give you 100% of their attention 100% of the time
See the previous point and you don’t need it anyway
You the athlete WILL
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date-journal
This is absolutely critical - Take ownership of your training both inside and outside the gym
- Work hard even when you don’t like it
- Do your homework as agreed upon by you and your trainer
You the athlete WILL NOT
- Complain or make excuses
- Hide anything training-related from your trainer
Any pain or injury must be discussed
Having established these expectations, there also needs to be some sort of follow through for not complying with these terms. If we don’t hold up our end of the bargain, we’ll refund your money and buy you an equivalent package at any other local gym. If you don’t hold up your end, your training will end and your fees will be forfeited and donated in your name to the American Nazi Party. If there is another organization or person you find more vile than the Nazis and thus would motivate you to keep your journal please let us know.
Don't let the Nazis get your money!
