About Northwest Kettlebell Athletics

Northwest Kettlebell

Russian Kettlebell
Sport, Strength & Conditioning in the Puget Sound area!

I have decided to no longer try to explain on this website who we are or what we do. I don't believe that by reading something here, you would be able to grasp everything it is that we do on a daily basis. All you need to know is we train with Russian kettlebells, gymnastics movements and a few other strength & conditioning protocols for the purposes of sport, strength training & conditioning. If the only reason you were to decide whether or not to come join us was based on what you have read here, well then we probably aren't a good match for each other! Instead, come to one of our sessions and let us show you what we do. If then you decide that it's not something for you, have a nice day!

Coach/Owner: Nic Anderson

IKSFA Certified Sport Coach under Sergey Rudnev, Mikhail Marshak & Tom Corrigan Crossfit/Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified under Jeff Martone.

You could never know what it is that we do by asking questions about what we do rather by taking action & doing what we do you will learn what it is that we do!

I'm gonna keep this simple, I started in the fitness industry as a gym manager for Powerhouse gym in Medford, Oregon in 2003. 2004 started my first intern/shadow with a personal trainer, Swede Selstrom of www.selstrom-training-systems.com, and began personal training in 2005. I picked up my first kettlebell in 2004, training myself under the instruction of Jeff Martone & Tom Corrigan and began coaching my clients with kettlebells in 2006 when I opened Northwest Kettlebell Athletics.

I specialize in coaching kettlebells for sport, strength, fitness & conditioning. Yes we use other tools such as barbells & gymnastics but our main focus is the Russian kettlebell. Can the kettlebell be used solely by itself, yes, is it the only tool, no! We love to incorporate a variety of training tools but what makes us different is that we focus on the kettlebell where others use it rarely. There is a big difference between a coach who does something everyday & a coach who does something occasionally, I train myself & coach others with kettlebells everyday 7 days a week, check our schedule! I'm not saying I'm the best coach there is, but I know what I'm doing and how to train you for your goals without getting you hurt or wasting your time & money! That is it, I wont bore you with useless crap. But if you'd like to go out for some grilled dead animals, great & I will tell you anything you'd like to know!

From Our Athletes

The gym that, no matter how many times I fall into disrepair, keeps me wanting to lift more, jump higher, and outrun my five year old sun. Very, very good people work here - the best.
