Pesto Sauce

Paleo Pesto Sauce

- 1cup walnut halves
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt to taste
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 4oz fresh Basil leaves (one large container)

1. Combine Walnuts, Garlic, EVOO, Salt, and Lemon Juice in a blender.
2. Cover blender and pulse blender to roughly combine all ingredients.
3. When combined, blend on low until smooth (aprox 20 seconds.)
4. Scrape down sides of blender to make sure everything is incorporated.
5. With blender on low speed, add Basil leaves and blend well until chopped and incorporated.
6. Allow an hour or so before use to allow flavors to mellow and blend.
7. Refrigerate in a sealed container to use in the next 24 hours, or freeze to have on hand.
